Conveyors are manufactured in any configuration from black or stainless steel using rubber, polypropylene-modular and other types of belts.

Belt conveyor - (English belt conveyor) a continuous-action transport device with a working element in the form of a belt.

A belt conveyor is the most common type of transporting machine, it is used to move bulk or piece goods. It is used in industrial production, in mines and pits, in agriculture. Depending on the properties and nature of the cargo being moved, the angle of inclination of the working side of the belt can be set to 30 °.

Often, a conveyor belt is one of the parts of a transporting device. For example, a grain loader used on a mechanized threshing floor to collect grain from a site has brush scrapers, then the grain is lifted by a bucket elevator and gets onto a belt conveyor, which throws the grain into the body of a truck. Belt conveyors are mobile, portable, rotary and stationary. Stationary machines are used to move large quantities of materials over a distance of 3 to 3000 m, and mobile and portable machines are used to move small quantities of material over a distance of 2 to 20 m. In practice, sequentially located conveyors are used to move material over tens of kilometers.

Belt conveyors differ in type.

Types of belt conveyors:

• Horizontal belt conveyors.

• Steeply inclined belt conveyors.
• With a variable angle of inclination.
• Z-shaped belt conveyors.
• L-shaped belt conveyors.
• V-shaped belt conveyors.

By type of bearing surface:

1. With a straight, smooth belt surface.
2. Trough, belt conveyors and conveyors.
3. With partitions (crossbars) on tape.
4. With corrugated sidewall (sidewalls) on the tape.
5. With modular belt modular conveyors.
